One dark night, Joe Glo was cruising down a steep hill when he ran smack dab into a jogger who did not see him, or his $400 longboard coming at 30 mph (WHACK!).

Not only did he hurt his hip, the strangely dressed jogger, and his pride, but he also hurt that expensive board he was carving on minutes ago. That's when Joe started to think, there must be some element out there... some material that can protect boards from getting scuffed up and scratched while at the same time adding an eco-friendly, rechargeable illumination.

Then it hit him! Photo luminescent crystals infused in a military-grade vinyl would create a surface that both glows and protects the board from wear and tear!

After an extensive search, Mr. Glo discovered Fotolum, the makers of a rare photo luminescent vinyl for the military, secret service, firefighters and DOT. After an intense session of negotiation, he was able to get his hands on the rare material, and thus Board Brite was born! Coupled with a 3M self-adhesive backing on the glow strips – the quality, durability, and practicality of Board Brite is something that no boarder can miss out on!
